    All about the Malindi and Tsavo Safari.

    Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya covering 13,747 km². Opened in April 1948, it is located near the village of Voi in the Taita District of Coast Province. The Nairobi - Mombasa highway and the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) divide Tsavo East from Tsavo West.

    The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images in Africa.

    This, along with the 300 kilometer long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, make for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East.
    The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species.

    1. Day 1 MALINDI – TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK

      0730 hrs: Pick up from your beach hotel and depart for Tsavo East National Park.

      1300 hrs: Arrival at Kilaguni Safari Lodge in time for a sumptuous lunch.
      Afternoon spent at leisure. 1600 hrs: Depart for an evening game drive.
      1830 hrs: Return to the lodge for dinner and then overnight.

    2. Day 2 TSAVO – MALINDI

      0630 hrs: Enjoy buffet breakfast at the lodge.
      0730 hrs: Depart for game viewing drive in the park with picnic lunch box.
      1300 hrs: Depart the park for Malindi.
      Drop off at your beach hotel.
