Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Excursion

Itinerary

Early in the morning, our guide will pick you from your hotel and depart for Ruhengeri in the northern part of Rwanda. Drive straight to the park headquarters and get briefed about the adventure of the day; gorilla trekking within the jungles of Volcanoes National Park. Led by an experienced tour guide, start your hike into the forest and look out for the endangered mountain gorillas.

When you meet the mountain gorillas, you have up to one hour to watch them, photograph them and follow them without disturbing their daily activities for only one hour. Hike back to the park headquarters, have lunch and embark on a return trip to Kigali.

Things to Note
Wake up early for breakfast (we normally leave Kigali at 5.00AM)
Don’t forget to carry you self the walkable shoes, hut, sun screen, insect repellent, packed lunch and mineral water.
Meeting the gorillas takes a maximum of one hour
This tour must be booked at least a day before the exact travel dates.
Trip availability is determined by the availability of gorilla permits.
