Chimpanzee Safari in Uganda, Kibale National Park
02 - 04 hours chimp trek
Day 01 Kampala – Kibale Forest National Park
Pick you from Kampala and drive westwards taking the Mityana-Mubende road through traditional homesteads and tea plantations. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of this part of the country.
Arrive Fort Portal in time for lunch; continue driving to Kibale Forest National Park.
Dinner and then overnight at Crater Safari Lodge.
Day 02 Chimps Tracking in Kibale
The day for your chimp trekking experience has arrived! The trek normally lasts for 2-4 hours and will also highlight the diversity of different animals and plant species within the forest. Chimpanzees are the main attraction, of which five groups have been partially habituated.
The guided walk is along well marked tracks and a distance of 3km to 5km is covered. Overnight at Crater Safari Lodge, full board basis.
Day 03 Departure
Morning optional visit the crater lakes area a picturesque region within the the Fort Portal area you will know you are in the region when you begin to see magnificent tea estates and incredible crater lakes that beautifully punctuate the scenery. after early lunch at the lodge depart for Kampala.
End of services.
